Do Matki, Polish for "to mother," is a documentary film that looks at an unconditional love for a mother and longing for a home. At the same time, the film casts a unique glimpse into a living world of people with mental disabilities and the close relationship between two brothers.
After Zlata (Visions du Réel, Film Fest Gent), Do Matki is the second film by Polish/Belgian filmmaker Mattias Bavré. It will be an intimate film that in its simplicity wants to seek out and convey the complexities but also the beauty in the brothers' world.
